The 2015 Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference will take place on 8 June 2015 at the Hotel Arts in Barcelona. Leading to the Global E-Commerce Summit, the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference provides a unique opportunity for European policy makers and businesses to get together to create a policy landscape suitable for the future of cross-border e-commerce.
The 2015 Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference
The Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference in Barcelona is the biggest European platform for European policy makers and other stakeholders wishing to learn more about how the e-commerce sector can continue its double-digit growth rate. With around 350 visitors, the conference provides a uniquely large platform to discuss the future trends of European e-commerce and how proper regulations may ensure future ability to innovate and grow.
The conference begins by a plenary session featuring keynote speeches from a high level European Commission figure and a CEO of a large cross-border e-commerce company. The names of the keynote speakers will be announced in the following weeks. The aim is to come to a constructive dialogue between policymakers and industry on how to unlock the potential of a fully functioning Digital Single Market in Europe. Additionally, Ecommerce Europe will be presenting the outcomes of the “Barriers to Growth” survey – shared among 25.000 web shops – which will reveal the biggest barriers to unlocking the full potential of the e-commerce sector in Europe.
The plenary session is followed by three parallel theme sessions providing the participants with the possibility to follow distinctive topics on the trends and developments of the e-commerce sector. Each session gives the opportunity for the participants to inter-act and provide their input into the conclusions that will be presented at the closing plenary session. Participants are also invited to switch themes throughout the day as to make the conference more pro-active.
