Round Table in Warsaw: e-commerce in Poland and beyond

On 14 November 2013, the last Round Table of this autumn took place in Warsaw. Together with e-Commerce Polska, Ecommerce Europe and E-commercefacts.com gathered 25 online retailers and e-commerce experts, who met on the afternoon before the e-Commerce Polska Awards Gala to discuss the opportunities and challenges of e-commerce.

The participants were unanimous: for the online trade the growth opportunities lie outside the national borders. This was also evident in the presentations of Paul Petermeijer and Michel Lieffering: €40 billion of goods sold online across borders in Europe.

“It is not enough to simply translate a website. ‘One size fits all’ does not work in cross-border e-commerce”, said Michel Lieffering, cross-border expert with years of experience.

In the evening, participants attended the gala evening around the presentation of the e-Commerce Polska Awards.
