Ecommerce Europe’s Irish Member, Retail Excellence Ireland will host its annual Retail Retreat & Expo, “Rethinking Retail 2018” on 15 and 16 May in Dublin. This two-day event will gather numerous high-level experts to explore the new challenges in the retail sector, including the innovation brought by the rapid development of online retail.
The event will welcome multiple stages focusing on core thematic area such as innovation, eCommerce, payments and Tech, supplier solutions, and retail. Over 70 speakers have already been confirmed. Among them, one can find Paul Foley, Former CEO of ALDI, Aidan Blake from Google, and Loraine Higgins, Deputy CEO of Retail Excellence.
A panel discussion on GDPR will be organized as well. The GDPR panel discussion sees Victor Timon of Maples and Calder, Mike Harris of Grant Thornton and Dale Sunderland, Deputy Commissioner at the Irish Data Protection Commission discuss the key issues affecting retailers around GDPR. The session will be chaired by Lorraine Higgins and will provide practical examples of how SMEs can develop efficient data handling procedures to assist with GDPR compliance.
Furthermore, the event “Rethinking Retail 2018” offers the opportunity to network with over 2000 participants, while upskilling and exploring the latest innovation in retail.
