In less than two months, policy makers, merchants and stakeholders from all over Europe will gather in Hotel Arts, Barcelona, to discuss the future of cross-border e-commerce during the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference 2015. Today we can announce many other impressive speakers, such as Xavier Court, Associate and Co-founder of Vente-privée.com, and Walther Ploos van Amstel, lecturer citylogistics at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
Who are the newly announced speakers?
Xavier Court is Associate and Co-founder of Vente-privée.com – the company that founded the online sales event concept. Vente-priveé.com is global leader in the sector and sells exclusively to its 16 million members in Europe. Mr. Court will discuss his daily experiences in leading large cross-border operations. He will highlight the biggest barriers to cross-border e-commerce he faces, and most notably the solutions Vente-Privée.com has found to tackle these.
Another new speaker, Mike Jennings, will take part in the Annual Conference in a panel reflecting on the outcomes of the Ecommerce Europe Survey “Barriers to Growth”. Mr. Jennings is the founder of Cotswold Balloon Safaris, a company that offers ‘The Balloon Journey Experience’ through online bookings. Mr. Jennings will highlight the barriers smaller merchants face when trying to expand their business cross-border.
Walther Ploos van Amstel is leading a citylogistics research program at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences focusing on improving liveability and economic vitality of cities by making urban freight smarter, cleaner and more efficient. One of his research topics is innovation in omni-channel fulfilment, and he will discuss with the audience how cross-border parcel delivery can attain to consumers’ needs.
