The average Internet penetration in Europe increased to 74% in 2013. As a result, it grew closer to the EU28 average, which now amounts to 77%. In the top 10 of European countries in terms of Internet penetration, it is interesting to see that all Scandinavian countries are represented in the top 5.
In addition to other information about the country, this is revealed by the latest report on B2C e-commerce in Europe by Ecommerce Europe. Ecommerce Europe is the European umbrella organization for online retailers. Figures in Ecommerce Europe reports are based on the Global Online Measurement Standard for B2C E-commerce (GOMSEC). Ecommerce Europe also published comprehensive 2013 Regional Reports on B2C E-commerce in Northern Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Southern Europe and Western Europe.
