Global E-commerce Summit: More Speakers Confirmed

More speakers have been confirmed for the Global E-Commerce Summit, which will be held in Barcelona from the 12 to the 14 June 2017. The event is hosted by Ecommerce Europe and organized by BBP Media. The Summit will give the opportunity to digital B2C commercial stakeholders to learn about the latest and most impactful disruptions, feed and develop professional networks and showcase e-commerce and ecosystem services.
This year’s Global E-commerce Summit conference will be focused on four policy sessions. These policy tracks will tackle the following key issues related to the e-commerce sector: consumer policies, VAT, digital currencies and parcel delivery. Last week, we presented the first speakers confirmed. Today, we are able to add more speakers for these policy tracks, as well as a high number of high profile keynote guests.

Ecommerce Europe is pleased to announce more confirmed speakers for the Global E-commerce Summit:

Ursula Pachl

Deputy Director General, BEUC, the European Consumer Organization

Ms. Pachl has been with BEUC, the European Consumers’ Organization since October 1997, first as Legal Advisor, then as Senior Policy Advisor and recently as Deputy Director General. Apart from deputizing for the Director General, Ms. Pachl is leading BEUC’s work on the consumer legislation acquis and is responsible for horizontal policy issues. Prior to working for BEUC, Ms. Pachl worked for five years at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Health and Consumer Protection in Vienna and for four years at the Austrian Consumer Information Association as a member of the Consumer Advisory Board. Ms. Pachl graduated in Law – Magister Juris – from the University of Innsbruck and is the author of several articles in consumer policy journals.

Ursula will join the policy track on consumer policies at the Global E-commerce Summit.

Walter Trezek

Vice Chairman of the e-logistics Working Group, Ecommerce Europe

Mr Trezek is an independent consultant in the communication logistics industry. In 2016, Walter joined Ecommerce Europe where he is Vice Chairman of the E-logistics Working Group and Ecommerce Europe’s representative on the UPU’s Consultative Committee. He consults with postal operators and administrations to ensure the sustainable development of the postal sector. Aside to his work in Ecommerce Europe, Mr Trezek is an independent postal consultant at Document Exchange Network GmbH. Prior to working in Ecommerce Europe, he was Senior Consultant and Managing Director EMEA in Stamps.com and a member of their successful 1999 IPO team.

Mr Trezek graduated in Law from the University of Vienna in the 1990s.

Walter will join the parcel delivery policy track at the Global E-commerce Summit.

Stefan Krawczyk

Associate General Counsel & Head Government Relations International, eBay Marketplaces

Mr Krawczyk joined Internet marketplace eBay in 2009. He heads eBay Inc’s International Government Relations team, covering areas such as e-commerce, mobile commerce, distribution and sales, intellectual property, competition, consumer rights as well as parcel delivery and postal services in EMEA and APAC. Before joining eBay, he worked for over five years as intellectual property litigator and for almost 15 years as senior lobbyist for the international recording industry with a focus on IPR enforcement.
Mr Krawczyk graduated in civil, media and copyright law from Amsterdam Universities and is a former research fellow of the Munich Max-Planck-Institute for foreign and international industrial and intellectual property law.

Stefan will join the VAT policy at the Global E-commerce Summit.
