The European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP), an advisory group to the European Commission with the aim of helping to consolidate the internal market for postal services and ensure the consistent application of the postal/parcel legislation, published a summary document with information on measures adopted for postal service in view of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The document provides an overview of measures taken by each country’s government, National Regulatory Authority (NRA) as well as universal service provider (USP).

Furthermore, the document provides an overview of impact on the operations, including changes in the provision of the universal service, unusual increase of traffic (namely in parcels), disruptions in the international postal services (flows, reasons) and operational disruptions (staff, closure and changes in the postal establishments and distribution centers).

The full document can be downloaded here.
