Ecommerce Europe’s Board met with EuroCommerce, the EU voice for retail in Brussels. Mr Christian Verschueren, Director-General of EuroCommerce, stressed the mutual benefits for the two associations serving on- and offline merchants.
Vice-President Wijnand Jongen presented the latest growth in membership of national associations, company members and business partners. Also the cooperation with the European Services Forum (ESF), and of course EuroCommerce, was on the agenda. Afterwards, Vice-President Marc Lolivier presented an update of the working committees e-legislation and e-payments and an overview on all that has been achieved, along with upcoming public affairs activities in Brussels. Lolivier announced the kick off of the Expert Group on e-logistics.
Regarding the Global E-commerce Summit in Barcelona (2-4 June 2013) the attendance of a Chinese delegation was confirmed.
