On 18 September, high-level industry representatives, EU policymakers and other stakeholders will gather at the Club des Guides in Brussles for a stimulating exchange of views on the future of e-commerce. The participants will discuss topics such as the “onlification” of society, floating business models, “glocal” economy and the power of the “onlife” consumer, with the aim of exploring the trends and the related challenges of the e-commerce industry.
Marlene ten Ham, Secretary General of Ecommerce Europe, will present the highlights from the European B2C E-commerce Report 2018 that was launched yesterday. Mr. Wijnand Jongen, Chair of the Executive Committee of Ecommerce Europe and CEO of Thuiswinkel.org, will give a keynote speech and a brief presentation of his book “The End of Online Shopping”.
Finally, Mr. Gerard de Graaf from the European Commission will reflect on the future of e-commerce during a high-level dinner.
