Ecommerce Europe confirms further speakers for the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference 30 May 2016

This year’s event takes place on May 30 and will be part of the Global Ecommerce Summit (May 29 – June 1) under the theme “Shaping the future of digital commerce”. The Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference is Europe’s leading platform of e-commerce focused on information sharing, learning and networking.

How can Europe ensure its place in the future digital economy and foster cross-border e-commerce? These key questions will be at the heart of the day’s debate. In three theme sessions on e-Regulations, e-Payments and e-Logistics policy-makers and industry leaders will analyze and debate the European e-commerce sector’s most pressing concerns.

Ecommerce Europe is pleased to announce more speakers for the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference.

In addition to Katrina Sichel, Stefan Krawczyk, Liz Oakes and David Vuylsteke Ecommerce Europe is proud to announce a host of confirmed policy-makers and industry leaders for the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference on 30 May 2016.

Alan Gershenhorn

Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, UPS

As Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for UPS, Alan Gershenhorn directs strategy, mergers and acquisitions, public affairs, marketing, sales, product and solution development, customer experience management and key growth strategies across the enterprise. Under his direction, UPS is intensifying its focus on creating distinctive customer value through new products and solutions that align its broad capabilities for commercial innovation.

Alan will join the e-Logistics session as a speaker and panelist at the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference.

Bernd Kratz

Founder and Managing Director, Executive Management Advisors (EMA)

Bernd Kratz is an expert in logistics. After more than 25 years experience as an executive in distance selling (the last 10 years as Member of the Executive Board for Conrad Electronics SE), Bernd Kratz founded the EMA – Executive Management Advisors GmbH. His activities are focused particularly on advising the top management in strategic development and implementation, elaborate issues and personal coaching.

Alan will join the e-Logistics session as a speaker and panelist at the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference.

Andrea Servida

Head of Task Force “Legislation Team (eIDAS)” DG CONNECT, European Commission

He is Head of the Task Force “Legislation Team (eIDAS) in Directorate General ‘Communication networks, content and technology’ (DG CONNECT) of the European Commission. From 2006 to 2012, he was Deputy Head of the Unit “Internet; Network and Information Security” in DG INFSO where he co-managed the Unit and was in charge of defining and implementing the strategies and policies on network and information security, critical information infrastructure protection, electronic signature and identification.

Andrea will join the e-Payments session as a speaker and panelist at the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference.

Olivier Salles

Head of Unit Retail Financial Services and Payments, DG FISMA, European Commission

Graduated in Political Sciences and International Relations in Paris Sorbonne, Olivier Salles has been an official in the European Commission for more than 20 years, working in several different departments. He has been at DG internal market and financial services (MARKT then FISMA) for more than 10 years, namely as Head of HR just when the financial crisis started. He contributed to helping the organization to meet this huge challenge. He was also negotiator for several trade agreements namely with Canada and the US.

Olivier will join the e-Payments session as a speaker and panelist at the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference.

Simon Denoth

Deputy Spokesperson, SRG SSR

Simon Denoth has held various positions in the fields of foreign policy research, media and post / international logistics. Currently, he is Deputy Spokesperson of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation, Switzerland’s largest media company. He graduated in Political Science (BA) at the University of Geneva and holds a Master’s degree (MA) in International Relations from the University of Manchester.

Simon will moderate the e-Logistics workshop at the Ecommerce Europe Annual Conference.
