Ecommerce Europe broadens European network

Last week, Ecommerce Europe met with three organisations to talk about the European payments landscape and specific its position paper on e-payments. Paul Alfing, chair working committee e-Payments: “It is interesting to experience that most parties are known with our position paper. These, and other, meetings are perfect opportunities to explain our view further and elaborate more on reach, conversion and fair cost”.

Ecommerce Europe discussed and exchanged views on European payments policy and the European Commission’s Green Paper on card, internet and mobile payments the developments on e-payments with MasterCard Europe, the European Banking Federation (EBF) and the European Retail Round Table (ERRT). Alfing: “The goal was to promote actions and initiatives towards a more effective and efficient e-payments landscape in Europe which is beneficial for both merchants and consumers. It looks like we succeeded in that”.
