The Global Ecommerce Round Table is an initiative of Ecommerce Europe and the Ecommerce Foundation, in which executives from national e-commerce associations worldwide discuss how to unlock the potential of global cross-border e-commerce. This high-level roundtable is by invitation only.
This is the second edition of the Global E-Commerce Round Table. The first edition in 2015 featured senior representatives from more than 30 countries such as China, the U.S., Japan and Egypt. This year the representation will be even more global.
- Global trends in e-commerce;
- Facts & figures of the global e-commerce market;
- Regulatory challenges and opportunities;
- Possibilities for ever closer cooperation;
- Joint recommendations for policy makers around the world.
“It is a unique opportunity for Ecommerce Europe to bring so many representatives from around the world together and to discuss main challenges in the sector on a global level. The Internet knows no borders, and the e-commerce sector is therefore a global sector by definition. To facilitate further growth of the e-commerce sector it is essential that we work together and sustain an open international dialogue. As the European e-commerce sector we have a lot to offer to our peers in terms of our expertise, and a lot to learn from them regarding innovative capacity and policy solutions from around the world.”
